Urinalysis
Urinalysis is a routine test conducted on a yearly or twice per year basis that allows you to thoroughly discover the physical and chemical properties of your pet’s urine. It helps us check the health of their urinary tract, their kidneys, but also to see the functionality of other organs and metabolic functions. The analysis is divided into four distinct aspects:
- pH measurements and chemical composition
- Appearance assessment – color and turbidity
- Measuring the density
- Examination of the cells and solid materials through a microscope
Before conducting a urinalysis, always reach out to your
Veterinarian to find out the best approach and how to develop an effective action plan after receiving the results.
